Miranda Yousef- Hot Seat Interview- Director- Art for Everybody

After I watched Art for Everybody, I instantly knew I needed to interview Miranda Yousef. This is an incredibly brilliant person. Clearly unafraid to approach her subject with an honest focus. Art for Everybody is her first documentary film, all about painter Thomas Kinkade, talking about his work and life, and a fascinating inspection into a man that had many demons. Yousef‘s direction is excellent and she has a great grasp on her craft. I was able to speak with Miranda at SXSW about what it means to be an artist, the balance of being fair and truthful to her subject, and making a documentary about the “painter of light”.
