At the age of 12, Corin Hardy was already on the path to becoming a filmmaker, gathering his friends together to make movies with a Super 8 camera. The English native has always been fascinated by monsters and special effects, which explains why he made an immediate impact with films such as The Hallow and The Nun. His newest film, Whistle, is a perfect combination of Hardy‘s skills, mixing in a haunted artifact, teenage angst, and a plethora of creative kills. Talking with Hardy, one instantly picks up that his education in horror cinema runs deep, and having him on the Hot Seat was a privilege. We talk about the films that inspired him, from Evil Dead to Nightmare on Elm Street.
