There has always been a bit of mystery to David Duchovny. I think that mystery is there because Duchovny is multifaceted, a true intellect, who received his degree from Princeton and Master’s at Yale. The New York native has always had a swagger and an instant cool factor that makes you want to be his friend. Or maybe the star of The X-Files, Californication, and Twin Peaks has been on our TV sets for so long that we feel like we know him. Either way, Duchovny is an incredible talent and incredibly kind. He’s written multiple books, has his rock band, and continues to be an actor at the top of the profession with recent roles in Pet Sematary: Bloodlines, You People, and What Happens Later. I was lucky enough to talk with David about his ability to work in different genres, choosing between Fox Mulder or Hank Moody, and his performance in the new independent film Adam the First.
