Aaron Eckhart & Jesse V. Johnson- Hot Seat Interview- Actor- Director- Thieves Highway

The careers of actor Aaron Eckhart and director Jesse V. Johnson make the two of them a perfect match. Both have been in the movie business for some time now, and both of them are absolute professionals at what they do. Eckhart, the Cupertino, California native, has quietly impressed in every way, from his twisted turn as Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight, riding shotgun with Tom Hanks in Sully, or his charismatic performance in Jason Reitman’s Thank You for Smoking. It’s not often discussed, but Eckhart is an excellent actor. Jesse V. Johnson began as a stuntman, soon became a stunt coordinator, and eventually rose to become the renowned director he is today. Making action-packed movies with Scott Adkins and breaking out with the intense Hell Hath No Fury, Johnson is one of the best in action cinema. Thieves Highway brings the two together for a throwback film, about a cattle sheriff on the track of cattle rustlers, which turns into a dangerous shootout. I was so grateful to be able to speak with Aaron and Jesse, where we shared the movies that inspired them to work in Hollywood, talked about the list of amazing directors that Eckhart has worked with, and what makes a great relationship between a director and his star.
