David Dastmalchian- Hot Seat Interview- Late Night With the Devil- Actor
Back in 2014, when AMovieGuy.com was just starting, actor David Dastmalchian‘s career was just at the start of his climb to stardom. The native from Kansas City, a student of DePaul University’s Theatre School, had written a film called Animals that won a jury award out of SXSW. It was during the press tour for this film that we connected, chatting about our struggles with addiction, his process of becoming an actor, and his big moment in Christopher Nolan‘s The Dark Knight. Now, 10 years later he’s one of the best actors working in Hollywood, a part of films such as Dune, The Suicide Squad, and most recently Oppenheimer. His newest film- Late Night With the Devil highlights exactly why Dastmalchian is a great chameleon and an actor that always thrives when he is in the spotlight. I was overjoyed to speak with David about this new film, how Hammer films inspired him to act, playing the role of a late-night talk show host, and his ability to play a variety of characters.
