Ivan Kavanagh- Hot Seat Interview- Director- Son

Ivan Kavanagh is what I like to call a smart director. The native of Dublin, Ireland has work that is the genuine product of a master at the craft. And it’s obvious because his films would suffer without his mind behind it. He’s a visionary, someone that knows exactly what he wants, and with his last three films, each one has been better than the last. His most recent film is Son, currently playing on Shudder and it completely blindsided me with how good it is. A horror film, about a mother protecting her demon child at all costs, and going to extremes to keep her childs hunger satisfied. Awesome stuff. I had the chance to interview Ivan about Son, how the birth of his own child inspired him, and what drives him to make delightfully disturbing horror movies. Watch it here:
