Ruby Rose- Hot Seat Interview- Actor-The Doorman

The recent news with Ruby Rose is her exit from the CW’s Batwoman. This was after completing the first season of the show, a historic moment, with Rose as a member of the LGBTQ community, breaking barriers in the comic book entertainment universe. My hopes are that this news won’t derail her rise as an acting star in Hollywood. The exit was personal for Rose, who had injured herself doing stunts on set, with such severe damage to her spine that she had surgery. It was not an easy choice either. The hope is that the time off will get her back to kicking butt and she does it a lot in her new action movie- The Doorman. Rose is an incredible talent, starting her career as a host on MTV Australia, a DJ, a super model, and then breaking through with her role on Orange is the New Black. That rise was followed by being a part of action films such as John Wick: Chapter 2The Meg, and XXX: The Return of Xander Cage. With The Doorman, it’s the start of something big, where Rose flexes her muscle as an action star of her own. Not a franchise. Not a sequel, but her own venture. It’s impressive on screen, but it’s even more impressive to talk to the star. AMovieGuy.com had the chance to interview Ruby and talk about movies growing up, being in action movies, and her experience making The Doorman. Listen to our chat below:
