Jared Harris is seriously one of the best actors working in movies & television today. He has 2 Emmy nominations, has won a BAFTA TV award, and is a Golden Globe nominee. The fact that he hasn’t been nominated for an Oscar yet is just silly. But that does not seem to faze the legendary actor from Mad Men, Chornobyl, and a plethora of other great films. The work alone speaks for itself. His recent film, The Brink of War, has Harris playing Soviet Union leader Mikhail Gorbachev, going toe-to-toe with Jeff Daniels as Ronald Reagan, and delivering another stellar performance. I was lucky to speak with Jared as we talked about the long list of great directors he has worked with, how he has carved out his own path as an actor, and how he prepares for roles as historical figures.
