The career of Ella Balinska has quickly become special. She’s not just an incredible actor, bursting onto the scene with her versatility and physicality in Charlie’s Angels and Run Sweetheart Run, but is skilled in multiple crafts, from being a DJ to being an Olympic athlete, and not to mention a fashion icon. But it’s her acting that continues to shine, and she is particularly impressive in The Occupant, a film about a woman surviving in the bitter cold, not just fighting for herself, but to save the life of her mother. I was so grateful to be able to talk with Ella, where we discussed her process for making The Occupant, making movies with a female voice, becoming an action star, and the relationships she gained working with her castmates on Charlie’s Angels.
