Robert Schwartzman- Hot Seat Interview- Director- Hung Up on a Dream: The Zombies Documentary

When you are a member of a family where your mother is Talia Shire, your brother is Jason Schwartzman, your uncle is Francis Ford Copolla, and your cousins are Nicolas Cage and Sofia Coppola, making a name for yourself can probably be difficult. Robert Schwartzman, the actor, director, and musician, has carved his own unique path. He’s the lead singer and guitarist of his band Rooney– currently on tour across the country- he was a breakout star in the Disney classic The Princess Diaries, and he has now made a name for himself as a director. His newest film, Hung Up on a Dream: The Zombies Documentary, merges all of his passions and allows for one of the greatest British rock bands to be given the credit it certainly deserves. It was such an honor to speak with Robert and have him on The Hot Seat, where we talk about his favorite Zombies songs, what it’s like to grow up in a family inspired by cinema, how the story of The Zombies taught him the importance of dreaming, and a lot more.
