Clown in a Cornfield is the kind of horror movie I’m glad they are still making. It’s scary and twisted. Has perfect beats of comedy, great costumes, and sets to bring a novel to life. Director/writer Eli Craig is the perfect person to turn author Adam Cesare‘s book into a movie, on top of that, not just because the Tucker and Dale vs Evil scribe understands the genre, but because there is a genuine attention to the details that make horror scary, giving audiences exactly what they want. For author Adam Cesare, his book becoming a movie was a dream come true, and it’s deserving because Cesare has already become an award-winning writer, following in the footsteps of greats such as Stephen King, so naturally, his best-selling book should become a movie. I was so grateful to chat with Eli and Adam about the movies that inspired them to work in horror, the great reception to Clown in a Cornfield at SXSW, and getting the comedic beats just right.
