There is something incredibly cool about my interview with actors Rain Spencer and Andi MacDowell. It’s almost as if looking into a mirror, one actor is a reflection of an up-and-coming star, and the other is the reflection of an actor who has solidified herself as one of the best of her era. Spencer has rightfully received great praise for her performance in Good Girl Jane, winning the Best Performance prize at the Tribeca Film Festival. MacDowell has delivered great performances in films such as Sex, Lies, and Videotape, Groundhog Day, and Ready or Not, and that’s only a few. The list is long. MacDowell and Spencer found time in their busy schedules to sit down and talk to me about Good Girl Jane– directed by Sarah Elizabeth Mintz, the independent spirit of the film, the powerful performance from Rain, and the importance of making a film on a tight budget.
