In Interviews

Director Stephen Basilone deserves all kinds of success. The writer and director has been through the ringer of life, having health issues that caused invasive surgery, a very public divorce, and the loss of his mother. That is why his new film and directorial debut- Long Weekend– is a happy moment, and it could not have happened to a kinder person. Basilone grew up in Pittsburgh and had his start writing for shows such as Community and The Goldbergs. He has a delightful outlook on life, always balancing the sad parts with the happy parts. I had the chance to have Stephen on the Hot Seat, to talk about what movies inspired him growing up, the experience of being a first time director, and his two charming lead actors for Long Weekend.
